error while accessing the pbx administration page
« on: March 23, 2017, 01:43:58 PM »
Hey guys,

When we want to log on the PBX administration page, we type the pbx`s IP in the address bar and immediately get the following pop up:

You must access this application with: Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 or 11, without adding the site to the Compatibility View list; or Mozilla Firefox version 36 or later.

The weird thing is,  we *are* using IE 11...

any idea what`s causing this?  It`s been happening since we`re upgraded to this version:

Release level: 8.0 PR3
Active software load: 14.0.0.97
Inactive software load: 12.0.1.24
Call Control relink: 44.0.0.87_SP4
Platform: MXe-III
512MB of RAM

Put the IP of the PBX in the "Trusted Sites" zone.

trusted sites sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I have used F12 developers mode and used ie7 emulation. After that the site opened fine as normal.

we have to use F12 developper mode to emulate IE 10 for it to work...  but we can't ask out regular users who want to make use of the desktop tool to do that though :x

Firefox then...I just picked up this snippet that may work. Enable cookies in the privacy section of IE11 for the site.

I can't imagine why IE7 would work for software that just came out last year, but ok...

I get this message intermittently with IE. I just try again and again until it works.
Getting the same thing on MOL too.

yup,  all kinds of settings in that privacy tab.  I've tried them all and still get the same result.

Found my solution!

We have a GPO that was configured to assign our PBX's IP to the "Local Intranet" security zone.  That's Ok.  The problem was happening because in the "Compatibility View Settings" window there's a checkbox for "Display intranet sites in Compatibility view"  checked.

the popup says: You must access this application with: Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 or 11, without adding the site to the Compatibility View list; or Mozilla Firefox version 36 or later.

Unchecking that check box solved the problem.
