Mitel Emergency Hotline Phone
« on: January 05, 2017, 10:54:13 AM »
Hi

I have a Emergency Hotline  Analog Phone which dials immediately on lifting, well almost there is quite a few seconds delay in picking and dialing.  I have already set the class of service call control timer to the lowest values on each but it still takes about 10 seconds.  During this time there is no noise so users could think nothing is happening which isn't any good as its a hotline to 999

Any suggestions

Sounds like the inter digit timer. Not sure if this will work but if you lift the handset and then press # does it dial straight away.

Yep sounds like a conflict in your numbering plan.

What do you use for Outgoing?

Dial the number it rings down to manually.  Is there a delay?
If yes, create a system speed dial that does not have a number conflict and then ring down to that.
If there is no delay then you need to be sure you understand how it's ringing down.  There's a couple of ways to do it.  Is it using the Associated Directory Number or something else.
