3300 Call forward question
« on: December 20, 2016, 02:19:57 PM »
User A forward is phone to User B.

Someone call User A, if User B does not answer, the call reroute 1st Alt will send the caller to VM of User A.  Is there an option that I don't know that can send the call to th VM of User B ans not User A like it does?

MCD 6.0SP3 with Nupoint.

Thanks

We get this question all the time.
Hopefully Mitel fix this in a future version.

My impression so far is the only way to prevent this undesirable behaviour is to forward the call to a Hunt Group of type NameTag, but it's a bit of a rigmarole to setup, and not very practical to setup for hundreds of users.

I try to convince the users to fix it by creating a rule in their email inbox to forward the voicemail messages when they arrive. The users are rarely impressed by this.

You could also do the acd path thing to break this behavior

Nametag  isn't the way to go, has undesired affects. I would use them only for their desired purpose.

You create a path and have it set to queue without logged in agents, interflow after a second to an extension cfa to vm. I think it will be the ext that's passed

For ACD, your Agents need licences, but you can create paths without needing licences?

Just use an ACD Express Path...

If this is the embedded VM and you want the call to go to user B, can't we do this:

User A = 1111
User B = 2222
Create ACD path *2222, no agents, 1 sec queue time.  Interflow to VM.
