3300 SIP trunk
« on: July 28, 2010, 12:42:08 PM »
I have a mitel 3330 on 10.1.1.11_2
I'm trying to bring in a SIP trunk from broadvox. Every time i try to make a call i get a busy signal. When i call broadvox they tell me that the system is adding a + to the 10 digit number I'm dialing.

I don't have any ARS leading digits requirements and i don't have any digit modification plans?

Any suggestion on how i can get the system to stop send the +

The "+" is an option set in the sip peer profile assignment form. Double check that that isn't selected.

That worked, I cant believe i didn't see that setting before.
With my PRI, only 4 numbers were sent down the line so it was pretty simple to program extensions with DIDs.
The sip trunk sends all 10 numbers down the line, how to a program an extension to ring when using all 10 numbers?

Create the SIP trunks their own Trunk Service Assignment or Trunk Attributes number, and tell it to strip either 3 or 6 digits. (Make sure to put in here to insert 0.)

If you strip 3, then using System Speed dials create entries for the last 7 of each DID and point it to the needed extension.

If you strip 6, then the extension will match the DID.

Perfect, once again that helped out.

Outbound calls work perfectly. With an inbound call, the phone rings and as soon as i pick it up the call gets disconnected. Any ideas?

Not off the top of my head. Does outbound work completely now?

Sorry i didnt post what fixed the issue. I ended up having to buy an Ingate Siparator 19. Once i got that configured correctly, inbound and outbound call started working. I couldnt use my MBG server as a SIP proxy because its in server only mode.
