8660 phone picks up calls without lifting handset

Hello,

I have a user who says his phone will answer calls without picking up the handset. I have had him dial feature code 361 to turn auto I/C access off. That seems to fix it but he claims it keeps happening by itself. I have told them that he could be dialing that feature code by not hitting an outgoing line first. Is there anything else that could cause this to happen without turning auto I/C access on?

This is a basic feature of the system called Handsfree and the flag is turned on for this extension. Just go in and turn it off and the problem will go away.

Another thing we do is have all extensions have the flag Ring Intercom Always turned on so in case someone accidently turns on Handsfree the other phones will continue to ring it instead of the extension immediately answering.
