Display called number

Looking for a little configuration advice.

I have a new install, HX running 6.2.2.13 with a PRI. All users have 5320 handsets

Customer has 3 DID's that will ring multiple phones. They would like to know which DID was called so they can answer the call with the appropriate greeting.

Right now each DID rings to a phantom extension. Each user handset has a  secondary extension key for each of the phantom extensions. (This is how they currently determine which DID was dialed).

Is there a cleaner way to do this? (1) - so they can see which DID was dialed and (2) not have to press the secondary extension key to answer the call

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks

Disable the station flag "Outside Party Call Information Has Priority" to display the DID information.

For future reference, the handset is the piece on the phone that you hold up to your ear.

DND

Thanks for the info.

Disabling that flag would work if they didn't want/need to see caller ID info for any calls, correct?

They still do want to see caller ID for calls but also looking for a way to identify calls to these 3 specific DID's. Not sure if it's possible to have their cake and eat it too..

Thanks again

Forward those three phantoms to your ring in hunt group (you can use manual fwd or sys fwd immediate).  Top line display will show caller ID name (number if name not available).  Second line will show "FWD FROM <name of phantom>.  After call is answered display will show name on top, number on second line.
