So, I'm a newbie and was tasked with moving several phones and extensions in my school. The process proved quite simple, but now I have 1 extension with the message waiting lamp blinking but no message is there. I suspect it happened when I pulled 2 voice mail boxes off that extension and moved them to another extension. For sake of argument, lets call them X1 and X2 for the extensions in question and V1, V2, and V3 for the voice mail boxes. Initially there was X1 with V1, V2, and V3 attached to it. I created X2 and moved V2 and V3 to X2. Now, X1 and V1 work, but the Message waiting light blinks. If you go to retrieve the message it says no messages. I've tried other suggested solutions, but none of them quite line up. The one that looked promising (

If I dial * or # the display says enter extension. Since my extensions begin with 1, you and imagine what happens when I hit *911. Yes, I dialed emergency and set my phones status to Emergency Alarm. *if you do this, hit the feature button and dial 9850 to clear the alarm*
The question remains, with a Mitel 5000 and 5324 phones, how do I clear this light. Remember I'm a noob and will need some specifics.
