SSH v6.2 remote network
« on: July 19, 2016, 05:29:35 AM »
Hi all,

Has anyone tried to SSH into a new 6.2 system from anywhere other than the local network?

I used to be able to connect via a routed network on a different subnet or via port forward and connect over the internet.

It seems if I'm not on the same subnet, putty just hangs with a blank screen and doesn't prompt for a login, the connection doesn't timeout or reject the connection either.

There are no firewall rules enabled on the MiVO250.

Thanks

Sarond,

Are you using the built-in putty connection that you use when going through the SA&D utility or are you using something different?

Thanks,

TE

TE,

I am using stand alone PuTTY Terminal emulator, not built-in.

I just tried another remote site that is 6.2 and it worked. So I am assuming it is something particular to this system.

I will investigate further.

Thanks.

Looks to be my PuTTY instance. (I am using a fork called KiTTY)

I used the built in SSH and it worked fine, downloaded PuTTY and it works as well.

Thanks for your help.
