Custumer wants to select outbound cid on pri
« on: July 05, 2016, 11:07:40 AM »
I have a customer who has multiple companies. Is there a way she can select which company CID she sends out when making a call from the same extension?

Example: call 1 she wants to send 555-555-1111
the next call she wants to send  555-555-2222

All calls made on one extension.

Thank you for any help!

This forum has been a life saver!!

Berkley,

There is a way to do it with a Phone Manager client, but not a simple way to do it otherwise. I assume they would want all extensions with that capability. This assumes they have trunking that allows for CPN substitution.

***Extra***

What I have done in the past is created multiple CO Trunk Groups and split their lines up evenly between them or they had multiple PRIs and set the CPN to force a particular number and then gave each phone a CO Trunk Group button that lets them grab a channel and call out.

Thanks,

TE

How often does she need to do it, and in what proportion?  A smoke-and-mirrors solution is to connect one or more SL ports to LS ports physically.  Program those SL ports to send the less-used CLID.  Dial the trunk group for those LS ports, you'll leave the system completely and hear dial tone off the SL ports as you re-enter on one of those.  Dial 8 for outgoing and call will look to the system as if call was dialed from an analog phone on a  SL port.

In usage you'd probably want to program a station speed dial to dial 92XX (access code for that trunk group), followed by 8 or 92000...then your user will essentially have a second OUTGOING key that sends a different CLID.

We are doing this for a client where each CSR needs to be able to out pulse 25 different caller IDs.

Phone Manager Professional, and you just need to create the additional tiles.  In our case we gave each CSR an additional 25 tiles, and all are programmed as "Change Caller ID".  The CSR sees a tile for  each organization, and presses it prior to making the out bound call.

You can also create a Hot Desk Profile with a different Calling Party Number.

SIP probably won't make a difference using any of the suggestions above as long as carrier allows, which most do.

I apologize for taking so long to get back.
I ended up using the phantom extensions and put a button on the extension to choose.
