Call Accounting Software to work with Mitel 3300

Hi

I have a fully patched Mitel 3300 and need some sort of call accounting software the client doesn't want to spend the earth and free would be brilliant it doesn't need anything flashy its just 40 rooms and they need to know if calls are being made.

Don't want to take away any credit from JohnP as he has done a great job but the original author is Gerry Armstrong and I believe he deserves credit.

Yes created the SimpleSMDR app many moons ago and John has done some further development of it to improve the call recording. I don't do much with it anymore but still get the occasional email for help.
SimoleAlarm is a good way to keep track of alarm states for multiple PBXes. I tried to do this as a hosted free service but got so much stress from people apparently trying to hack the host that I gave up on it. The scripts are available for anyone who wants to host it themselves locally though.

Thought I'd mention Kevin English and Matt Darnell who worked on the OpenSMDR project. Gerry took it to a new level :-)  Most of what I did was to add the 5000 and allow an increased search for location by adding info from a commercial program that allowed trial testing.

so partner that with traffic options reporting to an FTP server would provide a free solution instead of paying for Mitel Performance Analytic Service.

Unfortunately the Traffic Reports don't show SIP trunks.

My boss is vehemently opposed to SIP until he can get "Joe the Phone Tech from Podunk Idaho to explain SIP like he can with a PRI"  So all of our Mitel installs are being fed by PRI's.

That's limiting.  You can do some pretty cool things with SIP.
