DND issue internal calls
«

When colleagues leave their office they activate the dnd option. External calls to the station in dnd are routed to colleagues in the same departement. The last alternative in the routing is the attendant.
This situation works fine for external calls. But when dnd is activated internal calls can't be placed to the station in dnd.
The station in dnd should ring for internal calls, and shouldn't follow the alternative paths. Is this possible?

Yes, within the call re-routing 1st alternative profile, you choose if the action should be followed for each type of incoming call. For the Busy/DND Int, you'll need to set it to "This"

Thanks for your quick reply!
When I change the action for busy/dnd Int to This the internal call is routed to the alternative mentioned in the directory number. In our case it's a cascaded ringgroup. Is my assumption correct?
My goal is not to reroute internal calls to alternatives.

Sorry, I miss-typed. You'll want to change it from "This" to "Normal". You'll then need to do the same thing for the 2nd Alternative profile.
"This" was telling the re-routing devices to route to the designated DN in the finial column on the right. "Last" would send the the device to the 2nd Alternative profile's designation.

The busy/dnd int. is configured as Normal at the moment.

Thats the whole point of DND it busys out your phone for internal calls (external calls are optional in system options assignment). So if you put your phone into DND it will be busy for internal calls there is no way around it you are telling the system to Do Not Disturb. You can make it follow an alternate routing in call rerouting when the set is in DND but not back to the set.
You could reroute internal calls to another single line programmed up against the sets but you are getting complicated there.
One question, if the user is leaving the desk and setting DND why do you want internal calls to overide it as there will be no one sat at the desk?

I understand the dnd function, and that it make's the phone busy.
Our company rules state that an external call must be answered within 30 seconds. That's why we need a trigger to alternative colleagues in case of absence. We someone leaves the office dnd is activated. This is the trigger to a ringgroup.
Because of this situation internal calls get the busy tone when the phone is on dnd. Internal calls to the station in dnd should be picked-up via the call-pickup button on the other phone.
(In the past we had an Avaya pbx where the send all calls button did the routing of external calls in case of absence. Internal calls still rang at the station where sac was activated.
We are looking for a similar solution as the send all calls button)

We turned on the Executive busy override function. This gives the user the option to override te dnd function.
