Ring Groups/MD Ring Group
« on: June 06, 2016, 03:51:37 PM »
Setting up a ring group for our internal helpdesk users.  However many of them have Multi Device ring groups for their cell phones (external hot desk users).  The problem is they don't want the calls for the ring group to go to their cells.  Is there a way to make the ring group only ring the desk phones, yet still allow other direct calls to ring the cells?

Thanks!

Either assign the DN as a multicall key on the phones you want to ring, or assign this multicall group as a member of the ring group.

We had the same issue, with members of the ring group being on different controllers in the cluster, so Multicall keys couldn't be the same number on all handsets, so we went with the second option mentioned above - a ring group with one number in it per controller, then all the people on each controller having the ring group member as a multicall key.
