Trunk Key
« on: June 03, 2016, 11:38:42 AM »
Customer wants Individual trunk access keys,  I have programmed a trunk key to a set and I can select the key and make an outbound call.
The trunk key does not Ring on an inbound call.  Why does it not ring on inbound?

What is the trunk group ring-in destination? Do the phones have trunk group Answer Access?

Ring in Destination for Trunk Group is not set.  I gave my two test phones Answer Access on the Trunk group and still no Ringing on the Trunk Key.

If there's no ring in destination, nothing will ring.  Sounds like what you want to set it to is MULTIPLE RING IN...go to that trunk group, open MULTIPLE RING IN and DAY (or night).  Right-click in the right pane to add extensions.  Then under the trunk'group's main screen set DAY RING IN TYPE or NIGHT RING IN TYPE to MULTIPLE.  This is plain old fashioned key system ring-all-the-phones stuff.

To take it to the next level you could instead set up a hunt group with queue announcements and recall to auto attendant.
