Mitel Superconsole 1000 Guest Extension keeps calling
« on: May 25, 2016, 02:46:16 PM »
Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well, but I needs someone's help please. I work in a hotel and just recently we are having a hotel room phone that keeps calling the front desk and there is no one in that room. The console rings almost every 10 mins and the calls are coming from that room, sometimes a few times within a 2 minute gap. I tried disconnecting the phone from the wall and I also completely removed the wires inside the wall jack and the console still rings from that room, I even removed the computer board for that room that is located in the switch box and still no luck. Is there any way I can delete that room number from the Superconsole or how can I fix this issue? I hope the issue I am having makes sense, if it does not please let me know and I will try to explain it in a better way. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it.

What does the console show when it rings you back?

It would be pretty simple to delete the phone and reprogram it.
It should only take a couple of minutes.
You may want to do that and just be done with it.
If it still rings you back then I'd move the extension to a different port.
You may have a defective port.

Hello Ralph, I want to first say thank you for the reply I really appreciate it. It just shows that an in-house guest is calling and then when we pick up the phone it shows the room number. Do you know how I can delete that room number in the SC? Thanks again Ralph!
