NuPoint Call Director - creating a holding pattern

If I don't have any ACD licences on my MCD, can I use the NuPoint Call Director to create a holding pattern?
 
The idea would be -

 - Menu: "Press 1 to leave a msg, press 2 if you want to keep waiting"
 - play a hold message
 - MoH
 - try the original extension again
 - on busy/no answer, hit the menu again
 
Something like that anyway

Have you looked into ACD Express Paths (no ACD license requires)?

You should still be able to use ACD 2000 anyway as you don't need to program any agents.
You just create a dummy Agent Group, no agents need to be part of the group.

But I think what you want to achieve is possible using Call Director.
