Trying to Output the SMDR Logs to file

Hey guys,

trying this:
LOGSYS READ SMDR INTO File.log NEWEST 2000 MATCH 1111

and getting "LOGSYS error: Could not open destination file                                   
              File System error: Catalog does not exist.  "

Am I going about this wrong?  Whats the easiest way to export the SMDR to a CSV / file of some sort.

You have to state what folder (Mitel calls it a catalog) you want to write the file in. However, on the more recent releases you only have read access to the filesystem, so you can't create a catalog to put it (don't mess around in the system-created catalogs, messing with the existing files there can do very bad things). If you're on MCD5 or above, use the scheduler to send the SMDR logs to an FTP server and then you can play around with that file.

Got it Exported and scheduled on a weekly basis... exactly what I was trying to do in the first place.

Do you by chance know the Column layout of the file?  So I can add headers to the file?

It will vary depending on how SMDR Options settings are configured. The built-in help tool has all the info.

But I'm not sure this is accurate...

it'd be nice to be able to output the FTP transfer with headers from the system... know of an option for this?

Assuming you're on MCD 5 or newer, set up the FTP location in External FTP Server, then set up the scheduled file export in the Scheduler.
