SIP trunk sound quality
« on: February 16, 2016, 12:15:57 AM »
Hi,

we subscribe two different country DID number that use the same sip server from provider to forward to our OWN IP pbx.

let said Italy DID sound quality was good , but london did sound quality was very poor.

for london, we can hear the ppls sounds from London clearly when they dial that number, but another side complaint poor sound quality, cant hear it clear.

any thought?

I would sniff the SIP signalling and RTP data (you may need to enable port mirror on a switch), analyze the data in Wireshark and then escalate the problem to the SIP peer.
