I'm the new telecom admin here at the county and don't really have a ton of experience with all of this. So far it's been on the job figuring things out and our mitel partner giving me some pointers. We are running the Mitel 3300 and currently we are setup to where 9-911 is the only way to actually dial 911. I've seen stuff online on how to program 9-911 and how to setup traps to eliminate getting false calls to the 911 center, but how do I program 911 in the controller?
I do see that 911 is in ARS Digits Dialed with 0 digits to follow and has the same termination type and number is 9911. Just to play with it I also tried putting 911 in a speed call and having the actual number be 9911, but that came back with an error. I know it's hard to do this kind of thing without seeing it, but does anybody have any ideas as to what I can check to see what we're missing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
