Correct number presentation
« on: December 28, 2015, 07:30:07 AM »
Hi I'm a beginner Mitel's engineer and I have following problem.
In My lab environment I have two Milet systems - MXe and CXi. Both system are connected with each other by MiVoice 5000. MXe and CXi are connected with MiVoice 5000 by E1 trunks.
MXe has two IP phones with numbers 1001 and 1002.
CXi has two IP phones with numbers 1002 and 1003.
MiVoice 5000 has two digital phones with numbers 300 and 301.
I can call from MXe to CXi and vice versa without any problems selecting correct prefix:
a) 0023051XXXX when I want to call to MXe phones;
b) 0013051XXXX when I want to call to CXi phones;
c) 00XXX when I want to call to MiVoice 5000 phones;

It seems that everything is all right, but I have problem with correct number presentation.
When I call from IPphones connected to MXe it looks like that:
a) to CXi I can see on IPphone screen 0023051xxxx, where xxxx is a phone number from which I'm calling;
b) to MiVoice 5000 I can see on phone screen 23051xxxx, where xxxx is a phone number from which I'm calling;
c) to MXe another IPphone selecting prefix for example: 00230511002 when I'm calling from 1001, on phone screen I can see ISDN inscription;

When I call from IPphones connected to CXi it looks like that:
a) to MXe I can see on IPPhones screen ISDN inscription;
b) to MiVoice 5000 I can see on phone screen ****** (6 x stars);
c) to CXi another IPphone selecting prefix for example: 00130511003 when I'm calling from 1002, on phone screen I can see for example  T24 inscription;

When I call from phone connected to MiVoice 5000 it looks like that:
a) to MXe I can see on IPphone screen ISDN inscription;
b) to CXi I can see on a IPphone screen 00xxx, where xxx is a phone number from which I'm calling;

On MXe I have following configuration:
a) DID range for CPN Substitutuin;
b) CPN Substitution;
c) Inward Dialling Prefixes;

On CXi I have similar configuration.

Can someone explain to Me what I need to change in order to number presentation work correctly?

Is this issue still happening? On ISDN you must have a Default CPN filled in for each link. That's a start.

I have deleted "Trunk Label" which was "ISDN" and now if I call from IPphones connected to MXe it looks like that:
a) to CXi I can see on IPphone screen 0023051xxxx, where xxxx is a phone number from which I'm calling;
b) to MiVoice 5000 I can see on phone screen 23051xxxx, where xxxx is a phone number from which I'm calling;
c) to MXe another IPphone selecting prefix for example: 00230511002 when I'm calling from 1001, on phone screen I can see for example T2104 calling where 2104 is a Trunk Number.

Please anyone? ;)

Something to try from the maintenance command is an EDT TRACE TSP L2L3 <PLID>
It will at least tell you what the CXi and MXe are sending.

On the CPN substitution page there must be a default filled in. If that is not there the Calling party number block within the ISDN will not be used.
