Brief MoH on Transfer from NuPoint
« on: December 07, 2015, 11:59:56 AM »
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs,
I was curious if anyone here may have a solution for this little annoyance. I have configured a DID to go directly to a NuPoint Mailbox, if during the "Day" it is set to immediately transfer them to an ACD group. During the "Night" it goes to a voicemail where you can leave a message (The "Night" works fine). However, during the day the caller hears ringing then a very brief MoH (Bout half a second) being played while it transfers to the ACD group, then ringing again. I'm wanting to make it so NO MoH will be heard and to the caller it seems as if the call rings in as normal. (Even though it is going through the NuPoint)

Thanks for any suggestions.

-Iron

All,
By the way I have looked into the voice mail ports CoS's:
Call Hold
-Local Music On Hold
-Music on Hold on Transfer

Set them both to "No" and still I get it.

Thanks,
-Iron

The MoH is coming from the trunks COS. Trying changing the options on that one.

Unfortunately this happens with any application being used as auto attendant. While the port is transferring the call, you are hearing MOH as the Nupoint port has the call on soft hold or pre transfer state. Then ringback when the Nupoint port hangs up, blind transferring the call. This was an issue for a couple of customers I dealt with. Talked with Mitel TS about this. Your only solution is to broadcast MOH during transfer in the COS'es. This will change your life though. Instead of getting ringback cadence to callers when blind transferred, callers will just hear MOH.

bluewhite4,
I tried the CoS thing on Trunks, still doing it. Probably shoulda mentioned too that there are two MCD's and One NuPoint. I'll call them MCD1 and MCD2. MCD1 has the SIP Trunks, while MCD2 has the NuPoint. The two MCD's communicate using an IP/XNET setup. (I've check the IP/XNET CoS too - still plays MoH) Any other Ideas?

normanbing,
Was kinda afraid of that. So no way to do "Ringback" only throughout the entire process?

Thanks,
-Iron

Ok, the only other way we've been able to resolve something similar is with tenating.

Putting the lines and the NuPoint into tenant group 1, without a MoH on it. And then putting all the phones in tenant group 2.
