5330e phone setup for remote use?

Where can I find guidance on setting up a 5330e at home to access our office system. The installers gave me the phone and told me to set port forwarding on our router - which I did. I assume they did some setup of the phone prior to giving to me. What are the steps to get it going at home?

Hold down the 7 key while booting and the enter the external address for most likely ipv4. The phone would also need to be set for nat in the phone system

Thank you. Checked IP - seems right. Phone hangs at "connecting to server" - prior to that I saw tftp failed.
The ports on office router all all forwarded per installer's instruction.

If TFTP is failing and the phone won't connect to the server, either the port(s) are not forwarded correctly or the system is not configured properly. I would suggest working with your vendor to have them bring up a test phone at their office and verify the operation for the remote phone.

Note that some routers have "difficulty" with the port forwarding... what kind of router do you have and what ports are forwarded to the 5000's main IP address?

I was just told that the Konica copier/scanner scan function quit working - on the same day that I forwarded ports. Hmmm. Guess I need to find out if the copier is using a port that conflicts with my forwarding. More than a coincidence I suspect.

Ok, scanner was a false alarm. Password issue (I had changed that too, same day). So back to the phone problem. Linksys ltr214.
The instructions given me were:
68,69 udp
3998,3999 tcp
5004-5069 udp
5566 tcp
5567 udp
6004-7039 udp
6800-6802 tcp
50098-50508 udp
5570 tcp
I forwarded all of these to the 500

That's more than necessary but shouldn't be the problem... here is the copy/paste I put up to most people, it is a little dated but still applies:

On the 5000 end, port forwarding needs to be done on a range of ports to the 5000, including:

67&68/UDP
69&20001/UDP
6800-6802/TCP
3998&3999/TCP
50098-50508/UDP
6004-6261/UDP

You also need to make sure the System NAT address (ie. the public IP address of the router forwarding ports to the 5000) is set properly in TWO places:

System\IP Settings\System NAT IP Address
System\Devices and Feature Codes\IP Connections\P6000\NAT IP Address

And to finish it all off, on the remote phones themselves in:

System\Devices and Feature Codes\Phones\<Ext num>\IP Settings

Change the NAT Address Type to NAT.

Turn it off and try it, depends on the router I guess... normally this is to not respond to a ping requests from the WAN, but without knowing the router better I can't say for sure.
