SIP phone, disconnect issue
« on: November 30, 2015, 05:45:05 PM »
5000 HX
9 SIP extensions (dont get me started on this)
LS lines

After we receive and deal with a call, after you've hung up the phone. A phantom call lingers on the phone until you reselect the call and hang up again.

My gut is telling me that this the issue is on the SIP phone but I am not sure, nor can I think of way to isolate it.

Hershel,

Have you verified that the person they were talking to has been hung up on or have they been put on hold? Does this work for IC and CO calls or just CO calls?

What you can do is setup Wireshark and see what the extension is sending out when it does this to see if it send the correct command to tell the system it is disconnecting.

Once you captured the call with Wireshark then just use the SIP diagram feature to see what it thinks is going on.

Thanks,

TE

One thing you could try is changing the 'Maximum Number of Calls' value on the SIP phone group from the default of 1 to 4 and see how you go.
