CCC not opening
« on: November 24, 2015, 03:39:08 PM »
We have a problem where, for some users, Call Center Client will not open.  Clicking on the icon, it shows a screen saying "Checking for updates", then the Windows 7 hour glass spins for a little, and then nothing.

There is no CCC process running, there are no entries in the Event Viewer regarding the problem, we did not do any updates or change anything in the system.  All users have the same computers with the same setup/permissions.

I am at a loss.  Has anyone seen this happening?

Thanks

Hi
what if you run directly the contactcenterclient.exe?

If there are no updates and your machines already have modify permission on (C:\Program Files (x86)\prairieFyre Software Inc) then you might need to uninstall/reinstall CCM from the source. We have seen a few desktops that seem to get corrupt and this is the only fix we have come up with for now.

1st thing to do is check you do not have a proxy enabled and if you do disable or bypass it.
The Client uses a transcript file which I cant remember the location of at the moment, It compares this to the one on the server and if they dont match it attempt's to download a new version.
There are many bulletins on this in the PF KB http://micc.mitel.com/kb/
