jaybanc,

That is an old version of software, where did you buy this system? What you heard is correct in that the version of database programming software has to match the version of software that you are running; so in your case you would need version 3.2.4 to be able to get into it. The problem that I see is that you probably don't know what the password is or how to program it if it is default.

Thanks,

TE

hi, cheers mark thanks for that, ill try it in the morning, i bought it off ebay a few weeks ago, weve got a big house and was sick of shouting at people, we had a panasonic 1232 for a while but we couldnt get caller id without spending a fortune on cards so we bought this, we also got a ip500 unit, im just messing with them to see which is better the avaya or the mitel, i do like the sound quailty of the speakers on the avaya but havnt tried the mitel yet as i cant get into it. will keep you posted to let you know which one was the best, thnks for all the help.

hi, just a quick follow up, ive managed to get the system to communicate with the software through the version that mark uploaded but when launching the db programme it asks me the system password again, ive tried resetting the system through the front panel but the none of the default passwords itpassw etc seem to work, also the settings on the handsets still remain the same (i.e johns phone) which seems to tell me that the system hasnt been reset to default, is there something im missing? thanks joe

Jaybanc,

I sent you a password to try in your email. Please do not post it on the forums if it doesn't work for you.

Thanks,

TE

hi cheers for that, tried that password but still didnt work, i think the issue is it isnt resetting as all the settings are still the same aafter resetting db through front panel, does anyone know if theres a way of competely resetting these (without losing the firmware), and hopefully then the default passwords will work? thanks joe

Jaybanc,

Without getting into it there isn't another way to clear the database out. If that password didn't work then the software started off as an older version. I do have the earlier default passwords as well.

Thanks,

TE
