Mitel 5000 connected to a UCA server

Wi-Fi on the local network. Call lasts 30 seconds and then drops.

PBX type is 5k.

Collab Client is not going through the MBG, so the MBG packet capture will not have the SIP messaging.

A capture would need to be taken from the 5k, or the access point that the mobile is connecting.

For what should be an internal call, the 5k is responding back to us with external IP address details.

The 5k sends us the 200 OK, and the set ack's it, but that ACK is sent to the external IP, and it appears that message isn't getting to the 5k, so it sends it again.

Eventually, BYEs are sent as there is a breakdown in SIP messaging.

RogerV,

Alright, so we need to determine a few things before we go any further as the information provided doesn't allow us to start troubleshooting any issues you have.

First of all, I am assuming that you are using the UCA softphone Client for these calls. What device(s) is the problem happening with?

Second, we need to determine how the extension is setup in the system. Is it set for NAT or Native? System > Devices and Feature Codes > Phones > {UC Advanced Softphone} > IP Settings > NAT Address Type: NAT or Native

Third, how are you getting your SIP Capture information and where in sitting when capturing it?

That should be enough questions for now, but most likely more will come later.

Thanks,

TE

Got this resolved, Thanks.

Had to disable the NAT setting on the mitel 5000
