Reassign SIP license to a different phone

I want to re-assign a sip license from a Polycom Soundstation 6000 to a Polycom VVX 500.  How can I de-register the Soundstation so the SIP license will go back into the license pool?

I am assuming it is set up as a generic SIP device in the users and devices form? If so, just delete the existing from there. Power on the new phone and register it.
