Analogue Extensions in the Corporate Directory
« on: August 07, 2015, 05:07:08 AM »
Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else but I couldn't find it anywhere.

We have two analogue conference phones, they are both set up on our MCD under Users and Devices - Telephone Directory Management - Telephony Directory.

If I try to create them as users on our MAS I get an error message saying:

java.rmi.RemoteException: Failed to create DN: 6801 (V,Conference) on ICP: [SERVER NAME] (ICP Error: The directory number is in use elsewhere.) The approximate system time on the ICP is: 10:04:36 on 2015/Aug/07.

I need to be able to put the extensions into the corporate directory so that receptionists can transfer calls to the conference phones as at the minute they are having to take our clients phone numbers and have the staff member to call them back.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I guess I'm not certain what you mean when you say Corporate Directory. Are you referring to Dial-By-Name within the voicemail system, within the UCA application, or within the Mitel phones phonebook?

No problem, I moved your topic then since its really a MiCollab question and now a 3300 question.

I'm going to assume that your have your MiCollab Client sync'd with your MiCollab/MAS Users and Devices section.

Since they already exist on the MCD, you'll need to change your MAS to be disabled for "Single Point Provisioning"

This will let you add the extension.
