5550 Ip Name Tag
« on: March 20, 2010, 02:29:09 PM »
I have a 5550 that I need nametag hunt group functionality on. I can forward a nametag hunt group to the 5550 and get the name after I pick up but that it too late.

If there are other options I am open to them. It is a call center with 30 something 800 numbers that all have different companies assigned to them that they handle calls for. They want the console to handle many of the calls during the day but the need a heads up on what company to anwser as before picking up. I am out of ideas and after hours support was useless.

how many different companies do they nees to answer for. If only a few you could use the softkeys with a label and they would then know how to answer the call.

Ok, I ended up getting this info to show in a round about way.

I used a set next to the 5550 for an audible ringer and programmed the DIDs as Ring on that set. Named them in the TelDir and put BLF appearances in their own group on the console. Receptionist hears the DNIC phone ring to her right, goes to the inboud 800 group, highlights the ringing name, clicks pickup, and now knows how to answer appropriately before actually answering the call.

Not as simple as a Name Tag hunt group but it works.
