MITEL MCD 4.1. AND DHCP
« on: March 16, 2010, 06:18:49 PM »
I got my hands on a 3300 CXI controller running MCD 4.1 and for some reason I can never get the phones to grab a ip address from it.

I can statically assign an ip address to my laptop and log into the web server but I can not get an ip address from either the 16 POE or the LAN Port. When I change the system ip configuration, disable dhcp, and connect it to our existing data network my laptop and phones grab an ip address.

Is there a system option I am missing? L2 switch setting?

when you turn dhcp on in the 3300, go to maintenance commands and type 'dbms save' submit. Once this is complete this should kick the dhcp into service on the 3300

Thanks for the reply. If I had been a bit more patient I would of eventually found that in the THB ha!
