NuPoint MWI Lights
« on: May 19, 2015, 01:14:16 PM »
Hello Fellow Mitel Techs,
I have a 3300 with NuPoint that would appear to not turn off the MWI light (Or turn it on) when messages are left/checked. What is the program that handles the MWI piece? (I found in the NuPoint Console that it is set to "Mitai Messaging" in the voicemail box under Message Waiting.) Any ideas? If a SIP Packet capture would help, what would I look for?

Thanks,
-Iron

A SIP packet capture won't help, as the NuPoint uses Mitai to talk to a controller.

Mitai Messaging is done via an HCI hunt group programmed on a 3300. (Never done NuPoint on a 5000, so have no idea on there.)

If you look a copy and then view the Offline Configuration, it should show the HCI hunt group's extension number within the ICP #1 section.

bluewhite4,
Good note on the SIP versus the Mitai signaling. Just a bit confused about the "offline configuration" you were mentioning. Could you clarify a bit more?

Thanks,

Offline configuration is the inactive DB on the NPM. That is where you make changes to line groups and such. Then you activate the changes and the services restart.
