Transfer for hold
« on: April 17, 2015, 10:07:58 AM »
Is there a way to limit the number of calls holding?  I have a site that has secondary extension  of phantoms programed  on the sets, they use these as park locations.  Now the issue is they will transfer to hold multiple calls to these locations, I need to limit them to one per appearance.

#928,

Unfortunately no, but it may be that they don't see a visual indication that there is a call on hold there with that setup and they continue to send calls there. The problem is you don't know which person is going to get which call at that point with multiple calls on hold there.

What you could do is create a hunt group for each park location and put 1 phantom extension in it. Then you can put that hunt group as a key on the operators phone and when they put a call in it the button will light up to let them know there is a call on hold there. You can also turn off the camp-on function so that only one call can be in there. Then setup the recall timer and destination to go back to its operator after a designated period of time.

Thanks,

TE
