Mitel UCA client. No conference/trade calls ability
« on: February 28, 2015, 08:37:06 PM »
I am running Micollab with Voice 6.0.41.0 with Micollab Client Service V6.0.327.0 all users use the soft phone on their UCA client. I have added a 2nd multi call key to each user and this has given them the ability to do a consulted transfer however when a 2nd call comes in on their DID or they want to make a 3 way call internally they have no option for a Conference or the ability to trade calls. The buttons within the UCA client simply do not exist at this point in time.

Does anyone have any clues as to what configuration I could be missing to enable users to do this?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Hey yep found the problem.

UC Endpoint (SIP) Softphone does not have this ability. Program it as a 5020 Minet Softphone and this will grant the 3 way conference functionality.

What if you don't have the option for 5020 SIP phone?
only options are:
5505 SIP
5603 SIP
5604 SIP
5610 SIP
5624 SIP
and currently using UC Endpoint.

I have the cold transfer option, but I don't have trade or complete transfer...the controller is MITEL 3300

Try generic sip. I think it adds a little more. I didn't see a simple way to conference. But using a speedcall and the new embedded bridge is a viable work around.

Moona - I have a couple users that randomly lost the transfer functionality. Would you mind sharing what settings you are using on a basic level to facilitate this - specifically the keys tab for a user within the MBG? How many calls should a single Multicall Line be able to support? Is there any reason to create more than one? Please advise.

Thanks!
