Wireless Caller ID
« on: February 13, 2015, 02:39:02 PM »
On incoming cell calls, the caller ID displays "wireless caller", then after I answer it displays the correct number. Can I set this to display the number on the initial call rather than the "wireless caller"?

Any ideas?

The bosses do not want to wait until after answering to see the caller ID on mobile calls. They want to screen mobile calls of course.

I believe that is a COS option in the COS of the phone.
Look at the caller ID options.
It may be "Display number only" (trying to do this from memory)

"Display Number Only" is set to yes. They are using 5312 phones, It that a limitation of the smaller screen on those phones?

Set Display ANI/ISDN Calling Number  Only to NO to display ANI only.

Also "wireless" name is probably coming from the label of the trunk service. You could try leaving it blank.

I've seen "Wireless" pop up on my caller ID.   Definitely not programmed in the Trunk Attribs form.

I think "wireless" is the "name" of the calling party. I made the adjustment above and waiting on the customer to let  me know something.

I changed the option August suggested and now when calling in from a cell It displays the extension I am calling as the caller id?

At the start I was getting "wireless caller" as the name and then after picking up the phone, it displayed the actual cell #
Now I am getting "6260 calling" when dialing the DID for that extension?
