Ring Groups questions.
« on: February 11, 2015, 11:26:52 AM »
Hello all,

I would like to ask for some help regarding the below situation.
I need to create a Ring Groups in Mitel 3300 V7.0 SP1 with Terminal Cascade Ring option. A pilot number was created, let's say 12345.
For some department duty phone a single line key was created in a 5330e phone. This number will be used as duty number - a member of the respective department will forward this number to his phone using #85. Let's say that this number is 12344
My problem is ... maybe a silly one ... that when this number, 12344 is added to the Ring Groups 12345 the phone that was the 12344 forward to is not ringing. If a second number is added to the Ring Groups is ringing with no issues.
Maybe I'm missing something ... I don't know.
Any help will be appreciated.

Are you expecting the ring group member 12344 to ring the phone that it is forwarded to when the ring group (12345) is called?
It won't. It will only call the forwarded number if called directly (12344), forwarding does not follow through the ring group.
