I am working with a Mitel sx-200 with express messenger. I need to reset the voice-mail for an extension. The voice-mail box number is not the same as the extension number. I need the Voice-mail box number to enter when I go in to the administrator account through a phone set, it asks for the voice-mail number. In the past it has been the same as the extension number. In this case it will not accept that ext number as the voice-mail number. I have a lap top connected to the mitel system, but I am not sure of how to navigate to the right page that will show me what the voice-mail number is associated with this extension number. I can connect in to the system with an installer password, but need to know what pages I am looking for with this information. I don't know if there is a better way to get the job done. I just need to clear out the old voice-mail to make it work for the new user. Thanks for any help on this.   Tom......

If you are working on the Express Messenger (not the embedded on an ICP), you'll need to get a copy of 'Express Manager'.
That's the sw program used to manage the express messenger, through the 9 pin serial port on the front of the card (or via modem).
On the embedded version (in the ICP) go to form 50 to manage your mailboxes.

Thanks for the info. We may be talking about different systems. This is an old Mitel system that apparently has hit end of life with the manufacturer. It looks like two cabinets the size of a microwave oven. The voice-mail is embedded in the system. It is not a VOIP system, and I am having trouble finding the information I need to delete the old voice-mailbox. I am wondering if I can just delete the extension, and rebuild it to stop the association of this mailbox with this extension since I don't have a way to find out the voice-mail number? I should have pointed out in the beginning of the post that I am more of a network guy than a phone guy. I have worked with phone systems on a limited basis, but have a greater understanding of networks, and computers. I thought I could pick it up from the manufacturer, but they apparently no longer support this version of Mitel system. Any help in this issue is greatly appreciated. Tom...

Hey everyone, thanks for the input on the issue. I ended up finding the voice mailbox number associated with that extension by a brute force method of just going in through a phone connection and punching in a series of voice mailbox numbers until I came to the one that corresponded with the voice recording on that extension. I know it was probably not the most efficient or technical way to do it, but in the end I found the identity of the mailbox. As it turns out, I found that two rooms next to each other had extensions, and voicemail box numbers switched with each other. There was no one in one office, so I just erased both voicemail boxes with the admin account, and rebuilt them with the extension number matching the voicemail number for future ease . Thanks again for the input... Tom...
