Thoughts on MiCollab Client Freeze's
« on: January 07, 2015, 04:35:46 PM »
Hi all,
I have a customer who's MiCollab Client (ver. 6.0.422.0) freeze's on startup of his Windows machine (Win 7), making this person close it out and restart the MiCollab Client app, after which starts just fine and is usable. Out of the 150+ employees in this company, this is the only reported person who encounters this issue. I have capture of the "WindowsError" log which report an event of: "AppHangB1". When researching this out a bit I find that this issue might be able to be fixed by having the user go into a "Clean Boot" mode then uninstall and re-install the MiCollab Client software, after that then go back to a "Normal Boot" mode.

I just wanted to get your thoughts on this to see if I'm going about this in the right direction.

Below is a portion of the log readout:

=== Windows Error Reporting (1/6/2015 10:02:43 AM)

This might work but I wonder where you received this version from, since I know it exists but cannot find a download source higher than 6.0.327?

**UPDATE**
This is still an issue for this one customer I have. They did the "Clean Boot" and uninstalled and reinstalled the MiCollab Client on the PC. I'm still having the same issue when upon startup of their PC sometimes the MiCollab Client will load all the way, but intermittently (and more often than not) it will freeze and hang there making the user forcefully close the program (Via Task Manager) and start it manually, which starts fine and functions normally.

I did see this in the UCA's log files:

2015/03/05 07:30:44.186 DEBUG [4:] Mitel.Hid.PlantronicsPlugin - Spokes.Connect:FATAL ERROR: cannot connect if Spokes COMSessionManager/SessionCOMManager class is not registered! Spokes not installed (or wrong major version installed for this Spokes Wrapper)!

Now a "FATAL ERROR" on anything to me is typically considered a bad thing. So can anyone tell me what "Spokes" are? (This is where I'm guessing being UCA cert'd would help)

Thanks in advance for any info!

Thanks,
-Iron

I also have the same issue.  Did you manage to get this resolved in the end?

We got the Client Freezes fixed by going to the next version of MiVoice Business Express and getting all the clients updated (Currently they are on 7.1 MiVB), they have not reported and freezes since then.
