mitel 5000 head set question

i have a customer with a mitel 5000 and 5330 and 5340 sets they have the mitel headset that attaches to the set and they do not like to hit there headset button on the headset. can i put a button on the phone to answer and hangup on the phone for the headset?

Markdevoll,

Yes you can and it works similar to other non-mitel headsets. You turn the headset mode on and use the speaker button to answer and Hangup. You should also be able to use the button on the headset itself to answer calls too. Normally this is the case when using the Mitel Headset with the Attendant Console software so you can answer via clicking on the call or the answer button and it comes through the headset.

It's either headset mode and use speaker key, or non-headset mode and use the button on the headset. They don't both work at the same time.

i got that going and i put a headset on off button on there phone so when there not wearing it then they can turn it off. the latest complaint is that if there on a call and another call comes in it rings in the head set. seems good to me but can i turn that off?

Turn off the station flag Camp-On Indications. Calls will ring the headset while the phone is idle, but not with a call in progress.

the phones are a memeber of an extsion list in a hunt group. when there on a call and they get another call it rings in there headset. can i turn this off?
