How to setup Fax to Email
« on: December 01, 2014, 04:06:16 PM »
Hello All,
I'm having to support an old Inter-Tel 5000 (now Mitel) Phone system and one of the issues it is having currently is its Fax to email has stopped working suddenly.
A bit of background:
We migrated our Exchange server both physically and subnet wise. After that headache, we discovered that after things had broken e.g. our inter-tel system stopped sending faxes to email.
I found where the Email Gateway information was and updated it. It worked for about a day, and then it stopped. I have been at this for a few days now and haven't been able to figure out where the issue could be.

Help?
Please and thank you :-)

Are you using SSL?  Any chance the domain password expired?

Lorenzo916,

Did you happen to allow the EM to upgrade its Windows OS? If you did then roll it back as there were several issues related to some Windows Upgrades.

What version of EM do you have and what version is your 5000?

Have you used avdapmon to see what the EM is doing when you get a fax?

Have you looked at the error logs and what do they say?

Have you verified that you can send messages using the credentials provided to the EM from the EM using Telnet or a similar tool?

Thanks,

TE
