Polycom 7000 Conference Calling
« on: November 18, 2014, 06:10:06 PM »
Hi All,
I got my Polycom IP 7000 programmed and up and running on the 3300. My questions is how does one conduct a conference call? This Polycom 7000 has a DID associated to it and has the 2nd line (Mulitcall) programmed on it. I can call in and answer, but when a 2nd person calls in how do you tie the calls together?

...or
The other scenario is you can call one party via the Polycom 7000, but how do you initiate a 2nd person into that conference call?

Thanks,
-Iron

That might be tricky.
I just guessing here.
I think you'll have to treat it the same way you would an analog phone when conferencing.
Use the hold FAC to put line one on hold.
Answer line two.
Flash.
Remote Hold Retrieve FAC.
Flash
Conference FAC.

Hey All,
Just an update, I lost access to the Polycom 7000 that I was testing with so I went to a Polycom 6000 for further testing....I've been messing around with this a little bit more and found out how do a conference call if both parties call in to the Polycom via a DID. The steps are:

Having Your Parties Call You
1)   Answer the call from “Party 1”.

2)   Once “Party 2” calls in you’ll see it in the upper left hand corner of the display.
      a) Inform “Party 1” that “Party 2” is calling in and you’ll put them on hold and start the conference in a moment.

3)   Press the “Down” Arrow.

4)   Press “Answer” to answer “Party 2’s” call. (Which puts “Party 1” on hold)
      a) You’ll see options “Hold”, “End Call” and “More”.

5)   Press “More
      a) You’ll see options “Trnsfer”, “Confrnc” and “More”.

6)   Press “More”.
      a) You’ll see options “Join” and “More”.

7)   Press “Join”.

8)   All parties should now be connected and you can begin the conference.

I'm still looking for the steps to call both parties from the Polycom.

Thanks,
-Iron
