What extension made International Calls
« on: November 18, 2014, 03:56:47 PM »
We have some International Calls on our telephone bill that was made from our Mitel 3300 Mxe Controller , I need to find out what phone extension these calls were made from, once I know the extension I'll be able to narrow it down to the office, calls were made from.  Does anyone know how I can find out the extension, I do have the telephone numbers that were called also.Thanks.

If SMDR is turned on in your system then you can go to maintenance commands and do a "Logs re smdr new XXXX match YYYY" where XXXX is the last number of call records and YYYY is any string you'd like to search for.

You can try this command variant:  "logs re smdr new 100" to see the newest 100 records.
"logs read smdr old 1" will show the oldest call record(s).

Note you can only have 20000 call records.
If SMDR isn't turned on in your system then you wont be able to go back and find the call.
That's why I always turn on SMDR.

Looks like with the YYYY string, I'll have to input each extension individually, is that correct.

Is there a way for me to put in the telephone number that was called in commands, by chance.

The issue is we'd like to find out where international calls were made from, which phone did user use? Thanks.

The YYYY string can be part of the international phone number dialed.
This should return results and give you the extension that called it.
