UC360 Factory Reset
« on: November 14, 2014, 04:51:45 PM »
Hello all,
I got a UC360 that no one knows the password to in order to gain access to the "Advanced" settings. (I need to do a Factory Reset) Does anyone know if there is an way to do a factory reset with maybe a specific button press on bootup? Or if there is some other way?

Thanks,
-Iron

**UPDATE**
Ok so I reached out to Mitel and they said that no one has ever asked this question. Apparently I was the first. The Mitel guy asked his engineering group and they said to do this: (See Picture)

I have done this and it worked like a champ! Though one wonders why this is not in the manual.

Thanks,
-Iron

Thank you for this post, I just had to do this myself. I thought I had recorded the PW somewhere but couldn't find it, doh!

irongladiator,

I believe the unit I have is a newer model. I'm still getting prompted for a password in the advanced settings. Did the factory reset on the model you pictured clear this password?

Hi fcutler,
I know the default password is "admin". Can I assume you tried that?

Thanks,

Iron,

You should assume that, but, I actually had not. Right after I posted I remembered there was a default password. I've been looking for the correct documentation where it is listed but your reply has helped. That was the password, thanks!

VinceWhirlwind,
Not a problem, I knew it was a only matter of time before someone else stumbled across the same thing in wanting to know how to do a simple "Factory Default". Glad it helped!

Thanks,
-Iron
