Trying to scan the phone subnet via spiceworks
« on: October 09, 2014, 12:41:30 PM »
I'm trying to see if I can get spiceworks to scan the phone network to give my an asset inventory of my phones.
My 500 controller says the IP range is 10.0.1.20-100, but when I scan this I get no actual phones.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing incorrectly?

Dan

Dan231,

Use the system tool to determine if the phones are actually using that IP Range. There are a few ways to do this in the 5000. I would just get into DB programming and then look under Operations for IP Phone Status and it will tell you the IP Addresses in there along with the MAC address of each phone.

Thanks,

TE
