Problems dialling via IP trunks
« on: December 03, 2009, 03:19:50 PM »
Hii

Got a bit of a strange one here and Mitel support have no ideas so thought I would ask here

I have 2 systems in a cluster, both are 10.0.1.23, SDS is working fine, OPS Man is controlling the telephone directory and this is working fine, When I try and dial from one system to the other the phones display INVALID. I get the same results if I dial the CEID number then the extension. I have been through the programming numerous times and 99% sure its correct. I have even reinstalled the software on both controllers and set them up with no programming other than the cluster, IP trunks and 1 phone on each controller.

Any ideas???

Thanks
Joe

Couple of thoughts.
1- be sure that the Trunk Service assignment is programmed to absorb "0"
2 - be sure your cluster id's don't use * or # in the numbers.

1 - This was the first thing I checked
2 - I'm using 101 and 102.

Thanks

Do the remote numbers show up in the Remote Directory Table?

In your class of service do you have public network via dpnss set to yes for both IP trunks and phones?

SMDR can be accessed by telneting to port 1752 of the controller.  Depending on settings it will either dump a bunch of data, or just give you "live" data.

Yes they do show in the Remote Directory and no to the Class of Service. I thought that was only specific to ISDN calls

I assume you have deleted your COR tables if you have them?

Set the pub net via dpnss to yes and give it a try.

Also on the remote controller under maintenance do a

CCS TRACE ENABLE CONT

make a test call and see if the call is hitting the other switch.

to turn off

CCS TRACE DISABLE

Don't you need to run CCS Trace Show Output after you disable to view the data?

For smdr logs you should also be able to enter "logs re smdr new 100" from the maintenance command.

No the continuous setting shows real time output in the maintenance window

Check to be sure that in the ARS the digits expected matches your digit length.
When you dial a number is the error immediate or does it pause a sec?
