Embedded Voicemail - Personal contacts
« on: November 16, 2009, 12:21:05 PM »
Is there a way to manage the personal contacts in the embedded VM on the ICP3300?

It seems as if Mitel has turned on the advanced VM feature, and i had a user with the incorrect VM number under option C.  Turns out the Mitel tech put his own cell number on this extension.

I need to check the personal contacts on all extensions, but i don't see where on the ICP. I rather not have to dial into VM for each extention.

Thanks,

-Evan

Thanks bobcheese.

One more question.  Voicemail lights apparently are not working.  How do i get these to work.  Keep in mind these phones were previously on Nupoint Voicemail in my NY location.  However, Mitel switched them to the embedded when we lost power in NY.

You have to do the personal contact number via the TUI.

As far as the lights, My experience has been it "just works".
What happening?  Light don't go on?, off?, none of the above?

"they just work"  hahah

They just dont turn on when a VM is left.

Can I access the embedded VM from different ICPs on a cluster.  For example i am in NY, and want to dial into the VM of North Carloina switch, by using their 4 digit vm number.

When i dial 2500 i get invalid.  Does 2500 need to be in the directory?

We have had issues if the last voicemail port has been removed from the voicemail hunt group.

eg for a 20 voicemail port system , if the last port had been made a rad port , we had problems

now we make the first ports rads and always leave the last ports as part of the voicemail hunt group.

I think you also must have a message waiting activate and message waiting deactivate feature access code assigned

Thanks

in a cluster to be able to reach anything on another ICP it has to be in the directory..  so 2500 would have to be added to OPS and then it would propagate to the RDN screen on the other ICP's and be dialable..

are you looking to use one VM system for all of your ICP's in the cluster?

I figured out the directory part.

We have all ICPs running their own VM.  We had a disaster in our HQ, and all VM was on NYs Nupoint server.  Therefore all offices had no voicemail.  So during the week we put them on the embedded voicemail in each of their offices.

We are having issues with MWI light not lighting, or not turning off, or some work perfectly fine.

with regards to MWI, you have to have FAC assigned to MW activate & deactivate for this to work. Also the hunt group that all the ports are in must be set as 'voicemail' and not just 'voice' in hunt group assignment or it will never work.

Ok the hunt group assignments are good.

I have created the FAC for both activate and deactivate. (*78 and *79).  Do i need to entere these codes somewhere else in the system?

thanks

no as long as they are defined in FAC assignment then that should do the trick. Give it a test
