Call Pickup /no answer

We have a couple console operators that handle all calls and when things get busy the phone just rings.  It there a code that we can program into all the phones in the area to pickup an  incoming call?  We have a few normal users that can help with the incoming calls if we can do this.  Any help is appreciated.  THanks!!

If you're talking about a true console (as opposed to a 5340 acting like a console) then no.
TAFUS doesn't work nor will call pickup, either group or directed.

So, i'm gathering if I get a 5340 then this can happen?  Or is there a way to route teh call to another hunt group??

You can't put a console in a hunt group and you can't share keys with a 53XX phone.
The only option is to replace the console with a 53xx phone and then you can share buttons with the other phones.

I had similar issues a while ago, I came up with some ideas but never followed through so it may or may not work

Calls come into a 5550 console line, this line is then set to reroute to a hunt group.
The hunt group contains the normal phones and a external hotdesk user which is then setup to point to a second line on the consoles. Please note this will require a external hotdesk user license.

What a great solution.   I can't think of any reason this wouldn't work.
