Mitel 3300 phone feature query
« on: July 23, 2014, 09:37:13 AM »
Hi,

We have a Mitel 3300 phone system and 5312 handsets.

One of our PA's has moved depts to a new team. She was originally in the PA pickup group but have triple checked and she is no longer in this.
The PA's are saying that calls to this person are still coming through, i've checked that this person has call fwd to voice mail off and if busy etc.. etc.. all to not assigned. Is there any other group/feature? I've checked the 12 feature keys on the 5312 and they are the generic call fwd/pickup/call history and a few configured as quick dials of managers mobiles.

Is there a command or something that i can identify the problem or a way of resolving this?

Kind regards

There are a few ways that calls will ring to a phone.
  • Keys are programming on the ringing phone
  • Phone is forwarded to the ring phone via call rerouting
  • Phone is forwarded to the phone via station forwarding (programmed at the originating phone device)
  • Ring Groups.
  • Hunt Groups.

My first guess is that the originating phone has keys on the ringing phone.

Personal ring group?

If you have only removed them from the 'pickup' group then you will still have main programming somewhere.

How would the PA get a call? DDI? or from a group of phones that ring? or some other way...

Hi,

Thanks for the comments... I have noticed in speaking to the PA it appears that its when the calls are coming into this person at her new team and she is on her phone in rings all phones in the PA area? In checking her settings regarding call forward types they are all set to not active for always/busyint/busyext/no answer...
The user doesnt belong in the general PA pickup group but is within her new teams pickup. Can you advise any more from this additional info?

Thanks in advance!

Try this:
Stand next to the PA and then ring then ring the phone that is ringing on her phone from your cell.
Make a note of how many rings you hear in your cell until the PA phone starts ringing.
Watch what it says on display and make a note of it.
Watch to see what key it rings on.

Let us know.

thanks guys,

in calling the number from my mobile whilst stood next to one of the PA's whos receiving all the calls the PA's phone rings straight away. the display says fwd from 2347 (the ex PA's number) and one of the 24 feature keys lights up so i'll check what that is actually configured as? As assume all other PA's must have one of them keys setup as a feature of sorts?

She did also say to me the lady whos no longer a PA that her phone makes a brief ring noise (this is when the PA's get a call)

Kind regards
