Voice mail transfer directory option?
« on: July 22, 2014, 03:00:31 PM »
I recently had the MiVoice Networking license installed so I can now transfer voice mail messages to different branch mailboxes.
This only works if I dial the extension, the directory option doesn't work.

It was explained to me that this is a Mitel flaw and is not fixable.  The directory only shows my location and is based off of users and phones in one location, not mailboxes.

My questions are: is this true? and if I go into my phone directory (I created a feature button) all my users are listed by name and extension number.  Why would this not carry over for voice mails?

Voice mail directory is different and is based upon the mailboxes within the given system. While you may consider this to be a flaw, it is the way most voice mail system work.

OK, thanks for the clarification on that.  My vendor made it out to be a Mitel issue they were aware of but never fixed yet.

The "fix" for this is centralized VM, ie NuPoint.
