NuPoint FCOS bits Greeting Only
« on: November 10, 2009, 03:50:22 PM »
Tapping you NuPoint people for some help.
Using default FCOS 6 for a Greeting only allows someone to login when bit 66 is enabled but ONLY after listening to entire message.
Customer has a rather long message that they will change frequently and doesn't want to listen to message.
Need to be able to '*' while greeting is playing to login and change greeting.

My thought is to create a FCOS that would play the greeting and hang up.   I've no idea which FCOS bits this would require.

or

Find a way to copy greetings from a mailbox that they can login to.

Any one have any suggestions?

Found the answer.
Feature bit 60 is in the default for FCOS 6.
Bit 60 is "Ignore DTMF during Greeting"

Obvious once I see it.

That is the nature of NuPoint - and the bits aren't in a good order for linking functions together.  More sequential as they are added to the system.....
