rtx 4002 repeater registration

How do you put the 5610 dect phone in registration mode to register a repeater to the base?

Pretty sure you have to enter the IPEI info of the handset into the repeater base, then press (or hold, i'm not sure) the reset button on the base to get it registration mode.
