Spectralink 8030 in a ring group
« on: July 13, 2014, 03:47:07 PM »
Hi anyone know of a way to get the CLI of the caller to display on a spectralink 8030 when going via a ring group. You know on the Mitel set you get the CLI after you pick the call up.... well on the Spectralink sets all i get is 2 lines of the text with the pilot number of the ring group. This apparently worked prior to a recent upgrade to rel 6.0.

Thanks

No... You'll always see ring group DN and name on a SIP device.
Had customer complains after an upgrade to 6.0. Tech support told me "That's the way it is".
Haven't tested with 7.0.

I thought the COS option "Display Caller ID On Single Line Displays For Forwarded Calls" got around this problem.
Could be wrong, I haven't tested.

appreciate the responses, tried that COS option but not luck... any other ideas of how to get around this?

Is there a COS option when part of a PRG to send the CLI of the calling party rather than the PRG Pilot.... i know this sort of defeats the purpose of the PRG but this allows me to have the CLI of the calling party displayed.
